Key Responsibilities\n

• Act as a vital liaison between families, schools, and outpatient providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to mental health support.

• Engage with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management, ensuring clients have access to the necessary resources.

• Participate in discharge and aftercare planning, providing ongoing support and follow-up to clients transitioning out of more intensive care settings.

• Deliver therapeutic meal support, aiding clients in developing healthier relationships with food while implementing nutrition-focused interventions.

• Provide safe, empathetic, and affirming care tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and intersecting identities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on students in K-12 education settings who may be experiencing emotional challenges, behavioral issues, or mental health disorders. You will work with a diverse population that includes children and adolescents from various backgrounds, often addressing their needs within the context of school and home life. The work will directly contribute to improved academic performance and overall well-being for your clients.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in New York State is required.

• At least one year of clinical experience, primarily working with older adolescents and young adults.

• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills to assess and treat various psychological conditions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with clients, families, and educational professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of one year of experience is required, candidates with a background in school-based therapy, crisis intervention, or trauma-informed care will be given preference. Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or 504 plans is also advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, reflecting your expertise and commitment to mental health support.
