Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs to inform individualized treatment plans.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including educators and mental health professionals, to implement effective support strategies.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focusing on coping skills, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with agency policies and regulations.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to students experiencing acute distress or behavioral challenges.

• Educate parents, guardians, and school staff on mental health issues, available resources, and best practices for supporting students.

• Continually update knowledge of mental health trends, research, and therapeutic techniques to provide informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to work with school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will play a significant role in creating a safe and supportive environment that encourages students to express themselves and seek help when needed.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Virginia.
