Do you believe that we are better together by including everyone?KenCrest is hiring Direct Support Professionals / Home Health Aides for multiple locations within Western Montgomery County.The Direct Support Professional role is for those who enjoy a challenge and the reward that comes with it. Being in this role requires both attention to detail and creativity because you are serving as both a life coach and personal support agent.Joining our team at KenCrest can be fulfilling if you enjoy advocating and helping people who have difficulty communicating for themselves. This role can be rewarding if you like creating activities and experiences for individuals to get to know others in the community.Common Daily Tasks:Serve as both a caregiver and life coach to promote independence.Helping guide individuals with activities of daily living (some examples are personal care, meals, giving medication, social outings, and shopping trips).Support the individual by helping with communication and self-expression.General housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.Be creative in helping the individual meet their own goals - look for fun activities or ways for them to participate in community activities.Complete required documents like incident reports, behavioral data, seizure charts, medical visit forms, etc.Required for Employment:Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle recordClear criminal record, background checks and drug test in accordance with state requirementsAbility to convey, understand and follow spoken and written instructions in EnglishStrong communication skillsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsPreferred Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalent, preferredOne (1) year of experience in supporting individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities, preferred*Sign On Bonus for New Hires or eligible Rehires ONLYIND123KenCrest is an equal opportunity at will employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, disability, sex, sexual orientation, or national origin.
