What You Need To Know Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is a leading wine and spirits distributor located in Los Angeles, CA. Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation with expected first‑year total earnings of $75,000–$100,000 plus bonus, incentives, and auto allowance/reimbursement. Overview The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for managing and strategically growing Moët Hennessy’s business through influential leadership. Primary Responsibilities Accountable for achieving revenue, margin, and gross profit targets as set by the Sales Director. Communicate local program spending effectiveness to maximize the company's profits and determine ROI on initiatives. Achieve category objectives, key performance indicators, and targets by implementing strategies and tactics while managing customers for sustainable long‑term growth. Accelerate Moët Hennessy brands in allotted accounts faster than the assigned category. Visit assigned account universe regularly. Partner with sales consultants and area managers to inform and educate on programs, tools, and execution. Develop key account relationships and become a trusted advisor. Identify market trends and developments in product categories, geographic regions, and among the entire account base to become the category expert within the account universe. Advise customers and influence shelf space and menu placements. Conduct customer staff training on focus category/brands. Plan, coordinate, and attend on‑site promotional functions (e.g., launches, tastings, dinners). Sell account‑level activations, working with agency to execute. Perform market surveys to document execution. Track KPIs including PODS, menus, features, displays, shelf ads, education, trade engagement, staff trainings, events, and digital engagement. Provide recaps of market opportunities and successes. Collaborate with CPWS Trade Development and Moët Hennessy supplier teams to localize tools for programming, activation, education, and execution. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Accountable for achieving revenue, margin, and gross profit targets as set by the Sales Director. Physical Demands Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer or mobile device. May occasionally involve walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping. Work week often exceeds 40 hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays when required. May require occasional lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 40 lbs.
