The Newman Firm, LLP specializes in representing personal injury accident victims across New York City, Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Long Island, and Westchester County. With extensive experience in investigating lawsuits, negotiating with insurance companies, and litigating cases in court, the firm is dedicated to resolving legal issues promptly and effectively.
Role Description
An attorney with a minimum of 5-years experience and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution. Self-motivation and the ability to collaborate with support staff is a must.
Duties
- Be proficient in negotiating settlements with adjusters & attorneys.
- Prepare clients for depositions.
- Oversee and coordinate the workflow of paralegals and support staff.
- Monitor case progress and send timely reminders to support staff, ensuring that assignments are completed on schedule and key milestones are achieved.
- Support paralegals by identifying and resolving obstacles that may impede task completion.
- Maintain open and effective communication with clients, providing them with updates and guidance.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Law, with a focus on Personal Injury and Labor and Employment Law
- Proficiency in providing Legal Advice and advocacy for clients
- Proven Negotiation skills, including the ability to liaise with insurance companies and other parties to secure favorable outcomes
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective client relationships
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a member in good standing of the New York State Bar
- Experience in personal injury litigation or similar legal fields is preferred
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively
Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision and 401K.
