Job Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of patients across various age groups through standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with colleagues, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to establish comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to help support progress beyond clinical visits.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure continuity of care.
• Keep precise and timely records that comply with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Engage in continuous learning and remain updated on the latest advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification has not been achieved yet.

Certifications

• Active state license as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
