Work Environment

This role is conducted onsite within clients' homes in the Lehigh Acres area, providing an intimate and personal setting that allows for individualized care planning. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Assessing client needs and developing effective treatment plans to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore muscle function.
• Administering a variety of therapeutic treatments, including manual exercises, traction, and the use of physical agents, tailored to each client's specific needs.
• Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and case managers, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.
• Overseeing the work of Physical Therapy Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' home environments, making recommendations to facilitate rehabilitation and greater independence.
• Keeping detailed clinical records, including progress notes and treatment evaluations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights to enhance overall treatment strategies for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population served at Encompass includes individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic illnesses, or undergoing rehabilitation following injuries. As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely with clients of all ages, tailoring your approach to meet their physical and emotional needs, fostering an environment of trust and support.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate being preferred.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• At least two years of relevant experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in home health care.
• Current CPR certification and valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate clients and their families.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, ideal candidates will also have:

• Experience in home healthcare or acute care facilities.
• Familiarity with community resources that support rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
