Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - ICU for a MICU float position requiring at least 1 year of Level 1 ICU experience and an active MA RN license.

Job Details

• Work in a 32-bed Medical ICU that is also licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients, split across two floors,
• Float position covering Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC units,
• Patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 when acuity requires,
• Cases include sepsis, ESRD and AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure,
• AM shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week,
• 30-minute meal break included,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• 13-week assignment with 48-hour contracts accommodated,

Job Requirements

• Active MA RN license required,
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications through the American Heart Association,
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level 1 ICU, or 2 years preferred experience in a MICU setting,
• Strong ICU background required; new graduates with only 1 year of experience may not be suitable for this unit,

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to medical ICU and neuro critical care patients,
• Float to Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC units as needed,
• Unit typically maintains strong staffing levels
