Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with interventional cardiac cath lab experience and an active IL license for a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated hospital.

Job Details

• Work in a 5-room Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting,
• Average daily census of 25 patients,
• Day shift schedule of 4x12 or 3x12 hours (0630-1900),
• Will work 2-3 weekends per contract,
• On-call responsibilities required as needed,
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities to meet facility needs,
• Uses Cerner charting system,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license required in hand at time of application,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted),
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required,
• Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab experience required,
• Experience with Circulate Procedures, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), Left Heart Catheterization, Right Heart Catheterization, and Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring required,
• Experience with Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring required,
• Skilled in Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias and Monitoring Procedural Sedation,
• Cerner charting experience required,
• Teaching hospital experience preferred,

• Facility is a Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 562 staffed beds,
• Scrubs are provided by the facility,
• Parking permit is required and provided at no cost, arranged during orientation,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Local candidates are accepted for this specialty,
• Previous permanent or PRN employees of the health system must be separated for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler,
• Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility,
• RTO of up to 5 non-holiday days is preferred,
• Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays,
• Housing in the area may be difficult to find and should be secured prior to starting
