What You'll Do:

• Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and neurological cases
• Perform IV starts, continuous patient monitoring, and medication administration
• Conduct patient assessments, identify severity, and anticipate needs
• Support patient-centered care following ER protocols and hospital policies
• Document care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, phlebotomy, RT, and hospitalist staff
• Manage a patient census of 85-95 visits per day with a typical RN-to-patient ratio of 1:3
• Work 12-hour day shifts, including holidays and every other weekend rotation

What You Need:

• Valid RN license for Louisiana or applicable state for licensure reciprocity
• 2+ years recent ER or acute care RN experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, CPI or MOAB
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to onboarding
• Strong assessment skills, multitasking ability, and attention to detail
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

This assignment is at a busy ER department, accommodating a wide range of patient needs from newborns to geriatrics. The unit is equipped with Meditech Expanse EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing.
