As an Armed Security Officer Mobile Driver Patrol in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This driving post calls for strong communication, sound judgment, and a people-first approach while delivering customer service with integrity, reliability, and teamwork in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout sales floors, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential theft-related activity, taking appropriate action in line with post orders.
• Maintain readiness to carry out assigned armed post duties, including observing surroundings, reporting hazards or maintenance issues, and supporting law enforcement and/or emergency responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
