UTS - Temporary Payroll Tax Specialist at NC State

Essential Job Duties The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the accurate reconciliation and reporting of multi-state payroll taxes following each monthly and bi-weekly payroll cycle. This role serves as a key resource for employees regarding state tax matters, providing timely and accurate guidance on tax withholdings and responding to questions concerning state taxation. The position also follows up with employees who have addresses outside of North Carolina to determine their work state, ensuring compliance with applicable state tax regulations and proper withholding practices. Position Details Type: Temporary (appointment length 11 months). Time limited: Yes. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
