Job Description Workers Compensation, Return to Work, Health Benefits and Disability Coordinator (Analyst II) under the Health Management Unit (HMU) Supervisor I in the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). Salary: $6,031.00 – $7,547.00 per month (effective July 1, 2025). Hybrid in‑office/telework position per Government Code 14200. Responsibilities Serve as the department’s lead consultant for workers compensation, return‑to‑work, health benefits, disability, and fitness‑for‑duty programs. Conduct research, review, and process requests; prepare written correspondence; engage with internal and external customers regarding workers compensation/return‑to‑work, health benefits, disability, fitness for duty, and related HMU programs. Analyze and apply state and federal laws, department rules, and control‑agency regulations. Provide subject‑matter expert guidance and training on processes and procedures for workers compensation/return‑to‑work, health benefits, disability, and fitness for duty. Minimum Requirements Be a California resident of the state. Eligibility for the Analyst II classification and compliance with the class specification. Meet the minimum qualifications as outlined in the classification specification. Desirable Qualifications Strong written and oral communication skills and active listening. Experience providing recommendations based on state and federal laws, regulations, and rules. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively with peers, leadership, internal and external stakeholders. Working Conditions Work primarily in a DOR open‑office setting, required to be on site up to 40 hours per week. Situational telework may occur and is subject to modification or cancellation. The incumbent must be able to remain at a workstation for extended periods while using a personal computer with Microsoft Office Suite and other office equipment.
