Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, documenting severity, frequency, and duration to inform treatment approaches.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, goals, and preferences, utilizing a client-centered therapeutic framework.

• Implement evidence-based therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) during sessions to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatments, and self-care methods, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of their conditions.

• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting care plans based on therapeutic outcomes and ongoing evaluations.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal standards and ethical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Health Comfort Youth and Family Health Services, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your therapeutic interventions will be crucial in fostering recovery and improving the quality of life for clients from varied backgrounds and age groups. Our practice values inclusivity, and you will engage with a diverse population, tailoring your approach to meet the needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in the state of New York.

• Strong expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities specific to mood disorders, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Demonstrated proficiency in assessing and treating mood disorders effectively, showcasing a commitment to high-quality therapeutic practices.

• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of post-licensure clinical experience specializing in the treatment of mood disorders is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position is competitively offered at USD 115,000 – 130,000 annually, with additional bonuses available to recognize your hard work and dedication.
