Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of clients to identify their mental health concerns, preferences, and goals, and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or mindfulness practices, tailored to each client’s specific needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in distress, employing safety planning and problem-solving strategies to ensure their immediate well-being.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate holistic care and support for clients.

• Document client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR) systems while adhering to confidentiality and legal guidelines.

• Engage in continuous professional development through training and seminars, staying current with emerging trends and evidence-based practices in mental health counseling.

• Contribute actively to program development and improvement initiatives, offering creative solutions to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, addressing a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT in California is required.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience providing mental health counseling services to individuals facing emotional challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n

At Sunflower Mental Health Counseling Center, we recognize the value of mental health professionals and offer a competitive salary range from USD 78,000 to 115,000 annually . Full-time counselors are eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend, providing support for your health and wellness needs. Additionally, you will enjoy free access to our counseling platform’s services while you remain an active counselor, fostering your own mental health.
