Contract | Nights (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | 13 or 26 Week Options | 36 or 48 Hour Weekly Options Available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care on a fast-paced, 45-bed medical/surgical trauma unit serving hemodynamically and medically stable patients with acute and chronic needs
• Care for patients admitted from the emergency department, transferred from the ICU, or admitted from surgical and procedural services
• Administer and monitor IV drips as required on all floors
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to various units and campuses to meet facility staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including CNAs, care techs, transport, and paramedics

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC charting
• Experience managing IV drips
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (required for first-time travelers to be considered)
• Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity medical/surgical or trauma environment
• Familiarity with trauma patient populations and multi-specialty float assignments
