Overview This 267-bed hospital in Fort Walton Beach, FL offers an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a Cancer Care Center, open-heart surgery services, and emergency care through a main ER, a pediatric ER, and two freestanding ERs. A Medical Surgical Neuro RN opportunity is available on the day shift for a compassionate, clinically sharp nurse ready to contribute to a collaborative care team. Responsibilities In this position, you will provide direct care to ill, injured, and recovering adult patients within a patient-centered care model, conducting comprehensive assessments and independently managing treatment decisions based on your clinical findings. You will analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues and develop and individualize expected outcomes for each patient's plan of care. Serving as a patient advocate within the interdisciplinary team, you will work to promote patient safety and ensure the effective use of time, supplies, and equipment. You will also educate patients and their families about medications, procedures, and treatments, offering support and guidance throughout each patient's stay. Qualifications 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, Multistate or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred BLS (AHA Healthcare provider) required prior to start NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Schedule Days only, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Compensation $29.04 - $39.60/hr plus $10,000 sign-on bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr HiredFirst
