Overview The CNC Machinist is responsible for setup, operation, and basic programming adjustments on CNC milling and/or turning centers to produce precision components to print specifications. This role requires attention to detail, comfort working in a high-mix/low-volume environment, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances on critical features. RESPONSIBILITIES Set up and operate CNC Mill or CNC Lathe machines based on experience and qualifications Setup machine with proper tooling Run/adjust programs as necessary to produce quality parts Verify that parts are machined correctly to the print Capable of using measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, etc.) Read and interpret blueprints including material gauge and tolerances Review/follow any specific instructions on job order Perform first/last article quality check, routing per guidelines and check for burrs Make sure all jobs are recorded within MRP system and quantities are accurately counted Place parts neatly with job orders and deliver to next work center Perform general maintenance of machines Keep work area clean and orderly Follow all safety policies within work center Work to achieve routing times and report to supervisor major discrepancies Perform additional duties and assignments What’s in it for you?
