Job Summary Location: Methodist Hospital Address: 8303 Dodge St., Omaha, NE Work Schedule: Fri‑Sun, 6:30 am–3 pm (possible extra shifts) Benefits Eligibility: Eligible for full‑time benefits. Responsible for preparing and delivering patient and guest trays to patient rooms. Responsibilities Prepare the assembly area for tray production by conducting pre‑service quality checks and maintaining cleanliness. Maintain adequate levels of food and supplies, ensuring par levels are met. Assemble and deliver patient food trays to rooms, following Room Service guidelines to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Assist with the production and preparation of food items to meet Room Service orders on time. Interact with patients, families, hospital staff, and the Food Service team—providing support and answering questions in a welcoming, professional manner. Assist patients with pre‑meal service, including removing lids and opening packets, to ensure satisfaction. Retrieve tray carts from designated areas and assist with cleaning carts to maintain service continuity. Follow proper food handling procedures and comply with quality performance standards to ensure a safe, sanitary environment. Education High School diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) preferred. Experience 6 months of food service experience preferred, preferably in a hospitality industry. License/Certifications Food Handler's Certificate preferred. Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Knowledge of food production and delivery processes preferred. Knowledge of computers preferred. Basic math skills required. Strong verbal communication skills for positive interaction with staff and customers required. Strong customer service skills required (face‑to‑face and telephone). Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions with accuracy and efficiency required. Physical Requirements Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
