Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)Cornerstone Building Brands is looking for a Production Supervisor for our Mt Pleasant, IA facility. As a production supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a diverse and talented manufacturing team, for one of our metal buildings business units. Your primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the day. Your position will also include directing, disciplining, training, and assisting manufacturing team employees in a factory setting.This position will be 3:30pm- 12am, Monday through Friday.Duties and ResponsibilitiesFacilitates the manufacture of building products to meet production demands, while ensuring quality, safety, and productivityCollaborates with plant leadership to develop staffing guidelines, optimizing resource utilization while controlling costsHires, supervises, evaluates, and replaces staff as required to meet performance goalsDevelops and trains employees for increasing responsibilities, conducts periodic evaluations, and holds safety and production meetings daily. Drives initiatives of 5S, cost reduction, and quality improvementConducts interviews and identifies qualified candidates for hireAssigns personnel, oversees rotations, and maintains effective communication during shift changes and troubleshootingEnsures accurate completion of paperwork related to line operation, including logs, audits, and corrective actionsReadily addresses any urgent production or shipping requirements, even if it disrupts the regular workflow Knowledge and understanding of all safety policies and regulations and ability to address all unsafe acts and conditionsAdministers policies fairly and consistentlyProvides coaching and counseling to employees and corrective action when needed, following company guidelinesPromotes overall goals of company in safety, quality, delivery, and costIdentifies and assists with implementations for continuous process improvement.
