Key Responsibilities\n

• Maintain precise and confidential records of patient interactions and mental health assessments, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

• Effectively collaborate with law enforcement, crisis stabilization units (CSUs), hospital staff, and psychiatrists to coordinate care.
\n
• Conduct field psychiatric evaluations, helping to determine whether individuals require 5150/5585 applications for involuntary detention at psychiatric facilities.
\n
• Provide short-term crisis counseling to individuals experiencing mental health episodes, focusing on non-violent interventions.
\n
• Accompany law enforcement during pertinent mental health responses, ensuring both officer and patient safety.
\n
• Assist in training law enforcement personnel on mental health crisis management techniques, promoting de-escalation strategies to mitigate the use of force.
\n
• Coordinate case management efforts with various third-party entities, including the Department of Mental Health and local psychiatric facilities, and maintain regular follow-ups with patients to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role involves working extensively with diverse populations, including individuals in crisis situations, those experiencing mental health disorders, and arrestees who may be facing behavioral health challenges. You will contribute positively to their recovery journeys, helping them to access necessary resources, including emergency psychiatric care or ongoing support services.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, coupled with a current LPCC license.

• Exceptional ability to prioritize responsibilities and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong clinical acumen, with prior psychiatric or mental health experience being highly valued.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is mandatory.

• Impeccable attention to detail, strong ethical standards, and excellent interpersonal skills.

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a variety of stakeholders, exhibiting calmness under pressure and crisis situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $52,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
