Spearfish Canyon Lodge and the Latchstring Restaurant are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations in one of the Black Hills' most iconic destinations. Responsibilities Lead and manage all kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control. Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health department compliance. Manage inventory, ordering, and food costs. Develop and execute daily specials and seasonal menu offerings with the culinary team. Coordinate kitchen operations for weddings, events, banquets, and restaurant service. Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Monitor labor costs and kitchen productivity. Assist with menu development and recipe standardization. Qualifications Previous kitchen management or executive sous chef experience preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment. Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices. Experience with inventory management and cost controls. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction.
