DevOps AWS Software Engineer (Consumer Banking)

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 3 years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and container platforms such as EKS and/or ECS.
• Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, networking fundamentals, and application and runtime behavior.
• Working knowledge of incident and change management practices, including clear communication and disciplined execution.
• Scripting and automation experience with tools such as Bash, Python, or Perl, plus exposure to CI/CD tooling.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to critically evaluate and validate generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations; ability to guide peers in safe and effective use.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Preferred: Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Preferred: Experience with Splunk, including search, dashboards, alert tuning, and log onboarding.
• Preferred: Hands-on experience with Akamai CDN configuration, caching strategy, edge troubleshooting, and Client Side Protection (CSP) implementation.
• Preferred: Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Preferred: Familiarity with operating AI-enabled services or pipelines, including model or service rollouts and monitoring.
• Preferred: AWS certification, such as Cloud Practitioner or higher.

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, applying creative approaches to technical challenges.
• Manage, scale, and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure, particularly containerized workloads on EKS and ECS; provision and maintain infrastructure with Terraform and improve deployment pipelines for application and AI-enabled releases.
• Work with engineering teams to apply operational best practices for health checks, readiness, scaling, and resiliency.
• Use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve code quality and delivery, validate outputs through peer review, testing, and secure coding practices, and share reusable approaches with the team.
• Apply software development lifecycle tools, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve automation outcomes.
• Configure and optimize Akamai CDN performance, caching, edge troubleshooting, and CSP security controls; support certificate lifecycle activities and secure operational practices.
• Build and maintain Splunk dashboards and monitoring alerts, and participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, follow-up actions, and operational documentation.
• Support change management through peer reviews, risk assessment, pre- and post-change checks, and safe execution during maintenance windows.
