Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for invoicing, billing, and providing day-to-day accounting support. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring customers receive accurate and timely invoices.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage customer invoices.
• Review billing for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Track payments and assist with collections follow up.
• Maintain accounting records and perform data entry.
• Assist with account reconciliations.
• Support ownership and office staff with administrative and accounting tasks.

Essential Skills

• Previous bookkeeping, invoicing, or accounting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a family business setting is beneficial.
• Dependability and team-oriented nature.
• Personable demeanor with a focus on building relationships.

Work Environment

Typically, the office opens early in the morning, and family members manage the day-to-day operations. The company values a family-focused atmosphere where everyone knows each other. The dress code is casual, reflecting the relaxed and supportive environment. The role requires physical presence in the office.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
