Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients through standardized assessments and keen observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies focusing on short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Implement individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, vocal skills, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to devise holistic care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond the confines of clinical therapy.
• Facilitate occasional evaluations and interventions in an inpatient setting, ensuring seamless patient care throughout their recovery journey.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation in accordance to state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Keep abreast of advancements in the profession through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet holding ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days post-employment.
