Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Day Shift, Adult Acute Care + NICU

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Lead Respiratory Therapist for our Respiratory Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Responsibilities Conduct and oversee daily operations efficiently. Distribute shift assignments. Ensure that staff follows proper policies and procedures when performing tasks. Communicate with patients, families, coworkers and appropriate disciplines to provide total care for patients and optimal outcomes. Round on assigned staff members quarterly. Manage resources including staffing and equipment. Ensure that the huddle is done prior to each shift. Execute all other duties. Qualifications Graduate of AMA-approved respiratory program. Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC. Strong customer service skills. Ability to handle multitasking. Proficient in basic PC skills such as Windows and Excel. At least 3 years of Level III NICU experience. Minimum formal education: an associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 3 years supervisory/management experience. Will obtain an advanced certification within 1 year of hire. NRP certifications required. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; willing to take PALS and ACLS.
