Job DescriptionOversee the global accounting organization, spanning controllership, accounting, audit, tax, and financial systemsOversee global controllership functions, including financial reporting, technical accounting, internal control, revenue accounting, general ledgers, accounts payable, global tax function and financial systems.Oversee the global consolidated US GAAP audit and local statutory audits. Manage the audit process. Support and coordinate all internal and external audit activityOversee the monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes including consolidation and financial statement preparation, ensuring that all financial statements and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.Hands-on leadership on global technical accounting, including conducting research and drafting accounting memos on routine and non-routine transactions.Manages all accounting operations including - AP, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash, and Intercompany AccountingInterface with finance resources in a variety of countries and time zones to coordinate the global financial close process.Hands-on leadership on building and strengthening internal controls over financial reporting ("ICFRs") based on the COSO framework.Gather, interpret, and deliver insights that shape financial strategic decision making, including USGAAP, International GAAP, and local GAAP, i.e. ASC 606Develop, execute, and maintain/monitor global financial systems and processes; drive automation and AI adoption to improve operational efficiency.Support external reporting as needed, providing significant guidance and oversightSupport M&A due diligence, identify possible issues and necessary remediation steps, and lead controllership integration work streams.Establish clear governance rules and execute governance monitoring of financial reporting platform (Finance Data and Reports) that is efficient and supports a consistent best in class tool utilizationManage and collaborate with onshore and offshore resources to deliver strategic projects and solutions in a cost-effective manner.Provide input into the roadmap and future planning efforts for Financial Systems with goal of more efficient processes, lower support costs, and alignment to company objectivesAssess existing financial systems and the recommendation and implementation of new systems and expanded functionalityDrive audit committee meeting agenda and the preparation of meeting materials.Work closely with FP&A team on reporting efforts related to senior leadership presentations, budgeting, monthly forecasting, and reporting of actuals.Mentor and develop a high-performing global team.Leverage AI to drive operational excellence and data analytics.QualificationsBS/MS in Accounting or FinanceCPA requiredMinimum of 15 years of accounting experience, preferably experience from a combination of both a publicly traded company and PE backed companies with revenue over $300M.Must be an existing Corporate/Global controller in a scaled environment5 years in major public accounting firmExperience in SEC reporting, technical accounting, and internal controls highly preferredExperience in scaling up accounting operations in fast-growing environment.Netsuite experience a must haveLed, managed and developed a high performing accounting team, driving performance by setting goals and development plans and fostering an environment to achieve those goals through ongoing feedbackPrior experience being a change agent, developing and implementing processes and procedures where neededLeverage prior experience to set improvement and efficiency initiatives in place to bring the global accounting function to a best-in-class operationA true Subject Matter Expert and primary contact point for significant or unusual accounting transactions, monthly/quarterly/annual results, risks to the financial resultsDepth of knowledge of US GAAP and a variety of technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, business combinations, stock-based compensation, foreign currency matters, debt, etc.Change agent and committed to sharing and implementing best in class ways of working.
