Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intakes, assessments, and evaluations to gauge clients’ mental health needs, utilizing structured tools and evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate both individualized and group therapy sessions, implementing strategies tailored to a diverse range of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management.

• Develop comprehensive, personalized treatment plans by collaborating with clients to set achievable goals and interventions that resonate with their preferences and lifestyle.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to clients experiencing acute mental health difficulties, employing de-escalation techniques and rapid assessment methods as needed.

• Educate clients by providing them with valuable resources, coping strategies, and insights into their mental health conditions to empower them to take an active role in their recovery process.

• Maintain precise, confidential client records, including intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and necessary legal documentation, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and other relevant regulations.

• Uphold ethical and legal standards of practice, ensuring informed consent is obtained and that client confidentiality is preserved.

• Demonstrate cultural competence by tailoring therapy approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients from various backgrounds and communities.

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and administrative support, to provide comprehensive care and ensure better client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from adolescents facing school-related anxiety to adults dealing with trauma and chronic stress. The LMHC will work with various demographics, ensuring a holistic approach that respects and incorporates the unique cultural, socio-economic, and personal backgrounds of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
