Work Environment

The work environment is onsite at our well-equipped facility within a local school in Newburgh, NY. The full-time schedule runs from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a regular work-life balance while actively engaging in important mental health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and detailed evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions.
• Implement medication management protocols, closely monitoring patients to evaluate the effectiveness of treatments and making adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including primary care providers and specialists, to deliver integrated and holistic patient care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support for patients experiencing acute distress.
• Engage in community outreach programs and educational initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness and reducing stigma.
• Deliver therapeutic counseling and psychoeducation sessions tailored to meet individual patient needs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the highest level of patient privacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients encompass a broad demographic, representing various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will primarily serve children, adolescents, and families within the school setting. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

Compensation and Benefits
