Work Environment

You will work within a hospital setting, directly engaging with patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations for personal injury cases, ensuring accurate assessment and treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications, including NSAIDs, muscle relaxants, and medicated patches, tailoring treatments to individual patient needs.
• Order and interpret necessary MRIs and other imaging tests to inform treatment protocols.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote consultations, expanding access to care for patients unable to visit in person.
• Refer patients to physical therapy and specialist care in pain management, coordinating comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Maintain and document patient medical records meticulously, adhering to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Engage in regular collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of patient care and satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve engaging with a diverse array of patients, including those experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions. You'll need to apply a patient-centered approach, considering both the physical and emotional aspects of each patient’s care to promote healing and well-being.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• Certification from a nationally recognized certifying body as a Physician Assistant.
• Strong proficiency in medical documentation and experience with electronic health records systems.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with patients and collaborating effectively with healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in pain management or a similar clinical setting is strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a hospital environment with direct patient engagement is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
