Experienced Physician Assistant - Pain Management Specialist

This position is located onsite at our advanced surgical center, allowing you to work directly in a clinical environment dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients suffering from pain. Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in our Pain Management office, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments, including health histories and physical examinations to diagnose various pain conditions.
• Formulating and implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of licensed physicians, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach.
• Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures relevant to pain management, such as joint injections and nerve blocks, as well as assisting in surgical procedures when needed.
• Providing comprehensive patient education regarding their conditions, treatment options, and preventative care techniques, fostering a strong partnership in their healthcare journey.
• Ensuring accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes in our electronic health record system.
• Participating in team meetings and case discussions to refine treatment approaches and enhance care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population experiencing chronic and acute pain conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical pain, and neuropathic pain. Your role is integral in developing treatment plans that consider the unique contexts and backgrounds of each patient, aiming to improve their quality of life through effective pain management strategies.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are required for this position:

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program, with a Master’s degree preferred.
• Current state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare environment, ideally with exposure to a variety of medical specialties.

Preferred Experience

While experience in pain management is highly desired, applicants from other medical specialties who demonstrate strong clinical assessment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply. Additional training or certification in pain management techniques or procedures is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
