Work Environment

The work setting is onsite at our modern Surgical Center located in the scenic Newburgh area, known for its beautiful vistas along the Hudson River. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations for personal injury cases, distinguishing between various conditions to provide appropriate treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications, including NSAIDs, muscle relaxers, and medicated patches, tailoring prescriptions to meet individual patient needs.
• Order and review diagnostics, such as MRIs, to formulate informed treatment strategies.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to conduct remote consultations, ensuring continuous patient engagement and follow-up.
• Coordinate referrals to physical therapy and specialized pain management professionals when necessary, facilitating a comprehensive care approach.
• Maintain and meticulously document patient medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adapt care plans for optimal outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be providing advanced medical care to a diverse patient population dealing with various pain management issues and post-surgical care. You will have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages, understanding their concerns and developing effective treatment plans suited to their unique circumstances. Qualifications

• Valid and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by a nationally recognized certifying body (NCCPA).
• Proficiency in medical documentation practices and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in pain management or a related area is highly preferred, contributing to your ability to handle complex patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
