This full-time, onsite position offers a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience, and includes an attractive benefits package. Work Environment

Your role will be situated in a hospital-based setting that serves a diverse patient population. You will work alongside experienced cardiologists and healthcare professionals, collaborating in a dynamic and supportive environment. The initial three-month period will involve a structured training schedule of five 8-hour shifts, transitioning to four 10-hour shifts thereafter, providing a balanced time commitment for professional growth and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient history assessments and perform comprehensive physical examinations tailored to cardiovascular health issues.
• Interpret diagnostic procedures, including EKGs and echocardiograms, and develop treatment plans based on findings.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, including lifestyle modifications and rehabilitation programs, based on patient profiles.
• Document and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with federal and state regulations, including patient chart updates and progress notes.
• Provide post-consultation follow-up health maintenance care under the supervising physician's protocols.
• Engage with patients and their families to elucidate treatment plans, explain medical conditions, and address concerns to build trust and improve adherence to prescribed therapies.
• Occasionally perform hospital rounding and assist with in-basket tasks to streamline communication between patients and the cardiology team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients with cardiovascular concerns, ranging from routine check-ups for hypertension and hyperlipidemia to complex heart conditions. You will provide care to a varied demographic, addressing both acute and chronic conditions, and fostering meaningful relationships with patients to empower them in managing their health.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program is a fundamental requirement for this role.
• Active licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) from the State of New York.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a complex healthcare setting is essential for success.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; advanced life support certifications are a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with diverse patient populations and interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience
