Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting opportunity awaits speech-language pathologists interested in making a significant impact within elementary education settings. This contract position is perfect for dedicated SLPs ready to step in for a 12-week maternity leave, starting in September for the Fall 2026 school term. You’ll support vibrant elementary schools, working weekday shifts totaling at least 35 hours per week.

Your expertise will serve diverse student populations, including those in autism-focused and preschool programs (K-5th grades). Three full-time positions are available, including two in elementary schools specializing in special needs and one assignment yet to be determined. Positions are strictly onsite, fostering collaboration and hands-on engagement within the school community.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey Speech-Language Pathology License
• Valid NJ SLS (Speech-Language Specialist) Certification
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) holders strongly preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered if able to secure their own outside supervision (district cannot provide supervision)
• Experience with pediatric and elementary-aged students, particularly those with autism, is highly valued
• SLPAs are not eligible for these assignments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver diagnostic evaluations and provide direct speech-language therapy services
• Develop individualized treatment plans and interventions for preschool and elementary students
• Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Communicate with families and educational staff regarding student progress and support planning
• Adapt strategies to serve students with diverse abilities
