Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting contract opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists ready to make a real difference in students’ lives this fall! Step into a supportive school setting for a 12-week maternity leave assignment beginning in September 2026, with full-time positions (35+ hours per week) across elementary schools serving diverse K-5th grade and preschool learners. Two of the openings are within schools with a strong focus on supporting children with autism and preschool populations.

Ideal candidates will bring both passion and expertise to foster communication growth among young learners. Certified SLPs with their CCC are especially encouraged to apply. Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcomed as long as they can coordinate outside supervision, as in-district supervision cannot be provided for this role. Please note: SLPAs will not be considered for these openings.

Qualifications:

• New Jersey SLP License (required)
• Valid New Jersey SLS Certification (required)
• Strong experience in school-based settings, particularly with elementary and preschool populations
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
• CCC-SLP preferred; CFs are welcome with outside supervision arrangements
• Adaptability and compassion, especially when working with students who have autism

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary and preschool students
• Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and maintain thorough documentation
• Collaborate with special education teams and families to support individualized student goals
• Provide specialized interventions for students with autism spectrum disorders
• Contribute actively to the positive culture and mission of the school community
• Onsite presence required—remote options are not available
