About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years preferred License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Med/surg experience preferred Description: Candidates must be able to clear and start within 10 business days of offer acceptance to qualify for rapid rate. This facility is a 198-bed, level III trauma center including state-of-the-art operating suites. Due to the facility location, various trauma level I, II and III cases are flown to this facility. The facility provides healthcare services including medical, surgical, and rehabilitation. Additional services include a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, day surgery center, and extensive imaging and lab testing services. The facility has been awarded accreditation for PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory. It has been recognized as one of the Top 20 Most Beautiful Clients in the U.S. The facility offers healthcare to the Four Corners region. The surrounding area is known for beautiful landscapes and outdoor activities. The community features three rivers, four golf courses, five lakes, and six National Parks. There are numerous opportunities for hiking, kayaking, and historical sightseeing. The position requires working at least 2 weekend shifts per month. Additional duties may include floating per facility needs. The unit consists of 43 beds with patient ratios of 1:5 and 1:6. Equipment used includes VS machines, bladder scanners, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps. The electronic health record system utilized is Cerner. Supervision is provided by a manager and an assistant manager. Common diagnoses include cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and CHF. A minimum of an ADN is required for this position.
