Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite at our outpatient office in Tracy, where you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists and support staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individualized therapeutic exercise sessions, including guided strength training and flexibility routines tailored to each patient's rehabilitation needs.
• Implement various treatment techniques, such as manual therapy, massage, and therapeutic stretching, to relieve pain and improve functional mobility.
• Monitor patient progress throughout treatment sessions, performing assessments before, during, and after therapy to track status changes and report findings to the supervising physical therapist.
• Utilize assistive devices, such as walkers and braces, effectively to ensure patient safety and enhance functional capabilities.
• Educate patients and their families about aftercare protocols, self-management techniques, and preventive strategies to maintain improvements made during therapy.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing best practices and methodologies within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our patient population includes individuals requiring post-operative care, rehabilitation from fractures, and those seeking pain relief from chronic conditions. You will play a key role in guiding them through their recovery journey, providing empathy, encouragement, and expert support.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current California Physical Therapist Assistant License.
• Two years of relevant experience in an outpatient setting, focusing on orthopedic cases is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and coworkers.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working specifically with orthopedic patients and related clinical scenarios.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to document patient progress and treatment plans.
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development in physical therapy techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
