Work Environment

This onsite role is situated within a state-of-the-art hospital facility, equipped with advanced rehabilitation technologies and tools. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing tailored treatment plans designed to address patients' specific musculoskeletal conditions and rehabilitation goals.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and mobility training, ensuring that they perform exercises correctly to optimize outcomes.
• Administer various modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy to facilitate pain relief and enhanced recovery.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment approaches as needed and effectively communicating any changes to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and families on effective home exercise programs and strategies for injury prevention, empowering them to take charge of their recovery.
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations while ensuring accurate and confidential documentation of clinical records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare providers, to ensure cohesive and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of California.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, reflecting the educational requirements for the role.
• Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and various modalities used in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on a patient-centered approach in all interactions.
• Basic understanding of electronic health records (EHR) systems and willingness to utilize them for efficient patient management.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly preferred, although new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
• Experience utilizing electronic health record systems for documentation and patient management.
• Familiarity with orthopedic-specific rehabilitation protocols and procedures.
