Adecco is assisting a customer in Whittier CA hiring for an Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk supports the daily operations of the Accounting Department by performing a variety of clerical and accounting tasks. This entry-level position is ideal for an individual who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to develop a career in accounting and finance. The Accounting Clerk will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, account reconciliations, and other administrative accounting functions.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  
  
  • Process and enter invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting records, files, and supporting documentation.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial information and identify discrepancies.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain vendor and customer records.
  • Process customer payments and prepare bank deposits.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
  • Assist with audits by gathering and organizing supporting documentation.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets.
  • Support the Controller and Accounting team with special projects and other duties as assigned.

  Required Skills:
  
  
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous office, bookkeeping, or accounting experience is preferred.
• Shift 7:30 am - 4:30pm
• Pay range $23 - $25

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
