LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a manufacturing client in Southfield, Michigan that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. Position Type: Contract/Temporary (4+ Months)
Compensation: $36-$43 per hour

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  
• Analyze financial data and provide meaningful insights to management.
  
• Support general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  
• Prepare financial reports and assist with financial statement preparation.
  
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
  
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  
• Assist with process improvements and accounting-related special projects.
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
