OVERVIEW
The Accounts Manager will put a strong focus on business development and client relationship management to drive regional growth across the crane, rigging, and heavy hauling sector. This individual will serve as the primary liaison for clients, guiding them from project planning through execution, while strategically expanding Bay Crane’s market presence. The ideal candidate combines technical aptitude with commercial acumen, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels at building trust and delivering tailored solutions that exceed client expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across construction, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
- Build and manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring repeat business and customer loyalty.
- Partner with estimating, operations, engineering, and dispatch teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Conduct job site visits, assess project requirements, and prepare accurate proposals and quotes.
- Serve as the client’s main contact throughout the project lifecycle—planning, execution, and close-out.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues proactively, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate internally to align customer needs with equipment, crews, and scheduling.
- Track sales activity and client engagement through CRM tools and internal systems.
- Represent Bay Crane professionally at job sites, industry events, and trade associations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management (construction, heavy equipment, or industrial services preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, build pipelines, and close deals in a B2B environment.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to quickly build trust.
- Knowledge of crane services, rigging, or heavy haul logistics a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM or ERP system experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with flexibility to travel regularly to client sites.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and results oriented.
- Confident representing technical services and equipment in the field.
