What You Will Do The Thermal Analyst I is responsible for ensuring structural and thermal design robustness across the Raytheon portfolio of products. From preliminary concepts to fielded weapon system support, MA&T delivers innovative structural and thermal engineering solutions utilizing methods ranging from classical fundamental & empirically based techniques to state-of-the-art finite element methods leveraging industry leading commercial tools; all complimented and validated by tests executed in a manner to ensure cost effective yet technically balanced solutions. Key Responsibilities Perform hand calculations and determine requirements for higher order detailed analysis Perform detailed thermal analyses to solve various program thermal design challenges Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance to requirements Support test setup and execution, analyze test data, correlate and validate thermal models Work with experienced engineers on problems of moderate complexity to provide solutions within program cost and schedule constraints Coordinate and lead technical peer reviews ensuring the technical accuracy of work product Present results to internal stakeholders and external customers Generate detailed, archival technical reports Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date Academic or professional experience in thermal design and analysis Academic or professional experience with any of the following tools: FloTHERM, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop/SINDA, ANSYS or equivalence Qualifications We Prefer Experience with solid modeling CAD tool such as CREO or equivalent Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written Academic or professional experience in electronics cooling and aerodynamic heating analyses Thermal test and instrumentation experience What We Offer Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote. The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
