Work Environment This position is set within a remote work environment that accommodates flexibility while ensuring access to vital resources and support. As part of our hospice center facility, you'll work in tandem with a diverse range of colleagues, including case managers and medical professionals, to provide comprehensive care to clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs, crafting personalized treatment plans that promote healing and growth. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions through individual, group, and family therapy sessions, adapting your approach based on the complexities of each case. Coordinate with case managers and psychiatrists to ensure a seamless and holistic treatment experience for each client, prioritizing their overall well-being. Provide immediate crisis intervention and support when clients face acute distress, employing therapeutic techniques to stabilize their situation and enhance their coping skills. Engage in outreach initiatives, including workshops and presentations, to raise awareness about mental health in the community, work to combat stigma, and educate the public on available resources. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on serving individuals with varying mental health challenges, including those coping with terminal illness, grief, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Our diverse client base reflects a wide array of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, providing you with valuable experiences that enhance your clinical skills and cultural competence. Qualifications A valid and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) . A completed master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, vital for building trust and rapport with clients, ensuring they feel heard and understood. A profound understanding of cultural competence that allows you to effectively connect with clients from diverse backgrounds, enhancing their therapeutic experience. Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation and manage time efficiently within a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience Experience working in a hospice or healthcare setting, particularly with clients facing terminal conditions, is highly desirable. Background in crisis intervention or emergency mental health response. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate seamless documentation and client tracking.
