Work Environment This role is predominantly remote, offering you the flexibility to work from your chosen location while engaging with students and educational staff through telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth assessments of students to identify their mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique backgrounds and challenges. Implement therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and play therapy to facilitate positive behavioral changes and emotional growth. Maintain comprehensive, confidential client records and treatment documentation in accordance with HIPAA and state regulations, ensuring secure tracking of progress and outcomes. Work collaboratively with teachers, school counselors, and parent representatives to create a network of support for students, promoting their overall well-being. Continuously research and incorporate the latest advancements in social work practice into your therapeutic approach to enhance client outcomes. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will primarily support school-aged children and adolescents facing a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges, including those stemming from trauma, anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues. Our specialized approach emphasizes safety, trust, and dignity, allowing young clients to explore their feelings and build resilience in a safe environment. Qualifications Must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university. A current, valid Licensed Mental Health Therapist license (LMSW) in New Jersey is required. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and other professionals. Ability to work independently while actively contributing to a collaborative team environment. Preferred Experience Candidates should have at least two years of relevant experience in mental health settings, preferably within educational environments or with children and adolescents dealing with mental health issues. Familiarity with telehealth practices and digital communication platforms will serve as an additional asset to successfully connect with students and families. Compensation and Benefits Gotham Enterprises offers a highly competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
