Key Responsibilities As a licensed mental health therapist with Valor Center, your daily responsibilities will include: Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to ascertain the mental health needs of clients, leading to the formulation of personalized treatment plans that align with evidence-based practices. Providing therapeutic services in individual, group, and family settings, using a variety of methodologies to effectively address a wide range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure cohesive care that addresses all aspects of the clients’ well-being. Offering crisis intervention support during acute emotional or psychological distress, demonstrating your expertise and empathetic approach to help clients navigate their most challenging moments. Engaging in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma, contributing to the overall improvement of community mental health. Qualifications To qualify for this position, you must have: An active independent license in one of the following: LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or an active PsyD. A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to establish trust and rapport with clients from varied backgrounds. A demonstrated understanding of cultural competence and the ability to work sensitively with diverse populations. Strong organizational skills, ensuring effective management of case documentation and adherence to treatment timelines. Preferred Experience While we welcome all qualified applicants, candidates with prior experience in community mental health settings are preferred. Additionally, familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and crisis intervention techniques will benefit your effectiveness in this role.
