The Genesis Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play an instrumental part in providing exceptional early intervention services to young children with developmental delays or disabilities. Our LCSWs are responsible for conducting thorough evaluations and assessments, developing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), and offering continual support to families as we work collaboratively to enhance each child’s growth and development.

You will collaborate virtually with other professionals, participate in interdisciplinary meetings, and make home visits when necessary to provide hands-on support and evaluations. Operating within a detox center context, your role will emphasize the importance of integrating mental health services with substance use recovery, ensuring holistic family support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine individual needs and areas of development for each child.
\n
• Proactively participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), tailored to the unique strengths and challenges of each child and family.
\n
• Monitor outcomes diligently as part of a collaborative team to ensure effective intervention strategies are in place and adapted as needed.
\n
• Provide ongoing support and education to families regarding developmental milestones, intervention strategies, and available resources.
\n
• Adhere to all federal and state regulations governing social work practices, maintaining the highest ethical standards.
\n
• Effectively administer evaluations and assessments, employing best practices to gather data that informs your recommendations.
\n
• Build rapport with children, families, and fellow team members to cultivate an inviting and encouraging learning environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will be primarily on infants and toddlers, ensuring that they receive the attention and care necessary to thrive during the formative years of their lives. You will engage with a diverse range of families, some of whom may be experiencing significant challenges related to developmental delays or disabilities. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering a supportive relationship with families, enabling them to advocate for their children effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Social Work is required.

• Must be licensed by the Department of Public Health with a valid LCSW certification.

• A valid driver’s license is essential for home visits.
\n
• You should demonstrate confidence in tailoring your approaches to fit the needs of different children, ensuring that each child’s treatment plan is adaptable.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of experience in early intervention services or working directly with children with developmental delays is preferred.

• A commitment to the principles and practices of Natural Learning Environments in early childhood development is highly desired.

Compensation and Benefits\n
