Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while maintaining a high standard of care. As a member of our virtual team, you will engage with colleagues through regular meetings and case consultations, ensuring collaborative care and continued professional development. The workweek consists of Monday through Friday, with a standard schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a structured but manageable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique goals and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to effectively address client needs.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, exploring treatment options and promoting self-care practices.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring that interventions remain relevant and effective.

• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, for integrated care solutions.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and remain informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health treatments.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations to enhance treatment efficacy and team cohesion.

• Advocate for client needs, working to eliminate stigma surrounding mental health and ensuring access to necessary resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Seaside Counseling and Assessment, you will primarily work with individuals and families affected by mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your clients may include vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Each interaction is an opportunity to empower clients, guide them through their journeys, and facilitate their recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
