Reporting directly to the Department Chair, this position is responsible for coordinating partnership activities, managing communications and records, supporting events and stakeholder engagement, and assisting with departmental initiatives that advance the partnership's goals.In addition to partnership-related responsibilities, the Program Coordinator provides support for departmental events and activities, including planning, logistics, communications, and on-site coordination for conferences, student engagement activities, faculty events, and other special programs. The position plays a key role in ensuring the successful execution of both partnership initiatives and broader departmental programming.This role requires a high degree of initiative, independent judgment, and problem-solving. Assignments may at times be broadly defined, requiring the incumbent to independently assess situations, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose solutions that align with the objectives of NASPO, the Department of Supply Chain Management, and established ASU policies and procedures. The Program Coordinator must effectively navigate relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, students, university administrators, industry partners, and NASPO representatives.The Program Coordinator is expected to operate with considerable independence while designing, implementing, coordinating, and delivering programs and initiatives that support the strategic goals of the ASU-NASPO partnership and the department. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, the ability to manage competing priorities, and the capacity to develop innovative solutions in a collaborative academic environment.Position Salary Range:$54,600 - $68,300 annually; to commensurate with education and experience.Essential Duties:Event and Communications Support (40%)Coordinate and manage events associated with the ASU–NASPO partnership, including meetings, conferences, lecture series, case competitions, and other collaborative initiatives.Develop and execute event logistics, communications, scheduling, and on-site coordination to ensure successful program delivery.Manage the Department of Supply Chain Management's NASPO-related social media presence, including platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram, by creating and coordinating content that promotes partnership activities and student engagement.Provide planning and operational support for departmental events, including conferences, faculty events, student engagement activities, and other special programs.Administrative Support (30%)Maintain records and documentation supporting the ASU–NASPO partnership, including tracking contractual deliverables, partner communications, event activities, and reporting requirements.Coordinate meetings involving the Department Chair, NASPO Professors/Fellows, NASPO representatives, and other stakeholders.Prepare agendas, proposals, meeting materials, correspondence, and meeting minutes as appropriate.Serve as an administrative resource to support partnership operations and facilitate communication among internal and external stakeholders.Student Outreach and Program Development (20%)Collaborate with the Department Chair and NASPO representatives to develop and implement programs that enhance student engagement and experiential learning opportunities.Support the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of the NASPO Scholars Program.Make recommendations for new initiatives that strengthen student participation and engagement with the ASU–NASPO partnership.Other Duties (10%)Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and partnership objectives.Desired Qualifications:Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, service-oriented officeExperience working in a higher education environmentDemonstrated organizational skills and high attention to detailEvidence of effective communication skills; public speaking experience preferredAdvising or customer service experienceExperience with budgetary tracking and reconciliationExperience in working with varied populationsExperience working with confidential information or filesDemonstrated knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookExperience working with Salesforce, Unite/admissions software, Concur, and/or event softwareCollaborative, proactive, adaptable, and pragmaticAbility to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.Working Environment:Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.This is an in-person position though limited hybrid work including up to two days of remote work per week may be available.Department Statement:The W.
