Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to manage the day-to-day financial transactions of our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Process bills from multiple vendors, reconciling purchase orders to vendor bills

·        Create and maintain vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and any other information required, such as W-9s

·        Create and maintain customer records including contact, delivery, and payment information

·        Match bank deposits, verify and categorize charges, and resolve errors

·        Reconcile bank, asset, and liability accounts

·        Calculate, file, and process sales tax deposits

·        Prepare 1099s for applicable vendors

·        Stay briefed on Intuit updates and news that affect the QuickBooks Online application and accounting rules and requirements

·        Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

·        Proven experience (at least 1-2 years) as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar role

·        Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, Teams, etc.)

·        Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

·        Experience processing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

·        Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

·        Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills
