You'll own the close process, manage a small team, and be the person leadership turns to when they need a straight answer on the numbers.ResponsibilitiesRun monthly and year-end close - journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, on time and accurateManage AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliation, cash forecasting, financial reporting and fixed assetsKeep our books GAAP-compliant and our internal controls working, not just documentedBe the main point of contact for external auditors and tax preparersSupervise and develop 2 accounting staff - this includes real coaching, guidance and growthProactively flag variances and trends in the numbersWork with the Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow visibilityIdentify and improve inefficient or manual accounting processes, including opportunities to streamline workflows and automate repetitive tasks.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance8+ years of accounting experience, with at least three to five managing peopleSolid grasp of GAAP and hands-on experience with a cloud and Server based ERP (Dynamics SL, UNANET)Comfortable in Excel beyond basic formulasSomeone who can explain a variance to a non-accountant without losing themNice to HaveCPA or CMAExperience in Gov Con, Commercial and Private ContractsExperience through an ERP migration from start to finishBenefitsThe expected salary range for this position is listed above.
